Planetary mines are huge installations that dig the floor of the planes in search of valuable planetary resources. They can only be installed on planetary bases on the surface of planets or telluric moons.
Mines have a production capacity that determines the amount of resource they are able to extract. The total production of a given type of resource will depend on the abundance of that resource in the planemo and the production capacity of the mine. At the beginning of the game the faction has a basic mine type, but as the technology advances, more advanced mines with better production capabilities will be available.
Planetary mines are not the only way to extract resources. It is also possible to equip ships of a fleet with asteroid mines to be able to mine the asteroid fields of a system.
To mine the resources of Jovian planets, you must have an orbital space station and install an atmospheric processor.
