Modules are objects that can be installed on a base or a ship, expanding their capabilities. They can be acquired through trade, manufacturing or as a reward in missions.
Installation requirements
All modules have some installation requirements. The modules are automatically installed during the fabrication of a ship, so during the design it is already calculated if the module configuration is valid. A base, on the other hand, starts with the core of the base as the only module, so the rest of the modules are added later. This is done using the base builder and the objects are installed from the cargohold.
- Energy
- Power needed by the module to operate. It can be increased by building solar plants (only bases), or fission or fusion reactors.
- Volume
- It is the size of the module and consumes capacity of the unit. Larger units will have greater capacity.
- Personnel
- Number of people needed for the correct functioning of the module. The person can be increased by adding life support modules.
