The unknown faction is an alien species from the galaxy HC-2444 that is 12,500 light-years from the Milky Way. Its origin is very old and goes back to the first thousands of years of formation of the universe.

This species developed to a level II of the Kardashov scale and there is evidence that it traveled through other parts of the universe, since artifacts have been found whose use is completely unknown It is also possible to find other devices of great power and advanced technology, generally after the exploration of remote planets.

There is a theory formulated by Dr. J. Belis of the University of Mars that says that the unknown faction still visits our galaxy occasionally, and even that a large-scale invasion would be possible. An invasion against which humanity could do little given our technological level. According to Dr. Bleis, the connection between his galaxy and ours is very difficult and expensive in energy, so the number of troops that the unknown faction could send is very small. No doubt insufficient to realize a total invasion of the galaxy.

The tensor theory

Some physicists argue that it is theoretically possible to use gravitational tensors to connect two remote points in space and time. The creation of these tensors required an incredible energy, even greater than what the unknown faction is supposed to have. However, some scientists suggest that over millennia this species has been able to advance technologically to the next level of the technological scale, having at its reach the tensor technology. Other scientists deny this possibility not because it is not considered plausible, but because it is frightening.

The tensors could be used to align masses as large as galaxies, so that the transit between them would be increasingly easy and frequent. There are tests that can be done to verify that the tensor technology is being used, and is traveling to those places in the galaxy where there are signs of "tears" of the space-time tissue. These points are places of entry where the energy needed to travel from one place to another is less. The tensors would gradually be enlarging these points, so that the amount of mass that can be transferred from one point to another per unit of energy, is increasingly smaller.

This theory has not been proven, but scientists have been working on it for some time and have tried some scenarios in supercomputers. In the same way that creating tensors would require incredible energy, breaking them would require a similar amount of energy. Assuming that the unknown faction came to invade our galaxy and we could hold long enough to locate the tearing points, we would have nothing to do, since our civilization is not capable of producing enough energy to close them.

Characteristics of the species

After the first discoveries of extraterrestrial technology, shortly after starting to explore the galaxy, the scientists elaborated some theories about what the species that created it should be like. Most artifacts still have a completely unknown operation, but others have allowed some speculation. Once the unknown faction returned to the galaxy, new data have been obtained from the remains of the forces fallen in battle.

Apparently, the ships and troops that have appeared (at least until now) are not composed or manned by organic beings, they are rather apparently autonomous mechanical beings. This theory is based on the fact that no type of signal has been detected that governs them remotely, since up until now all the ways known by our civilization have been explored in order to make this connection (such as radio waves or entanglement). quantum) and there is not the slightest indication. If they are controlled remotely, it is done through a technology that is unknown to us.

Another theory says that in reality these mechanical beings are actually an evolution of this extraterrestrial species that began with organic form and ended up transferring their minds to mechanical beings to expand their capabilities and survival. Some scientists have even dared to speculate with the idea that each mechanical being does not have a mind of its own, but that the entire species is part of a collective mind.

Communication attempts

So far it has been completely impossible to establish any kind of communication with the unknown faction. Various methods have been tried with the intention of establishing some kind of diplomatic encounter that avoids war and allows mutual coexistence. The first problem that scientists have encountered is that of language, there is still no clue that even remotely indicates how this species communicates. There is no written form, they do not respond to any kind of signal and every attempt to approach has been answered only with violence.

During the invasion of Dapah-III, Dr. W. Smithson, an expert in neurolanguage, tried to establish contact with a squad of troops that had just disembarked a few kilometers from the base. Using a complex system of light and acoustic signals, he issued a series of signs based on a complex mathematical algorithm on a panel coupled to his space suit. Although initially the alien troops seemed to be reacting to the signs, they ended up opening fire with a blaster on Dr Smithson converting his body into pulp. All that survived were his glasses and two of his right hand fingers, which were found about 300 meters away by the cleaning crew after the battle.

A sector of the expert committee meeting on Earth thinks that even if we manage to establish communication with the Unknown Faction, it may not be in any interest to negotiate with us. It is such an ancient species and has such advanced technology that for them we could be no more than insects, so any attempt at negotiation would be useless. On the other hand, it is also very likely that they lack a moral similar to ours. Human beings cooperate in order to survive and we are able to coexist, we have a series of values such as compassion that prevents us from harming the weak. However, their moral values could be radically different, as we should not help the weak but exterminate it.

Origin of the species

So far there is a broad consensus in which the origin of the species is the galaxy HC-2444 which is 12,500 light years from Earth. This galaxy was formed in the remote past, a few thousand years after the formation of the universe. However, its civilization is not 12,500 million years old, since the connection between our galaxies occurs in space and time. Their species probably has only a few hundred thousand years of development. When they come to our galaxy, they also move towards the future.

It is known by the artifacts found that were already in our galaxy at an earlier time, approximately 1,350,000 years ago. The technology of the artifacts does not seem very different from the one that has been possible to recover in the current encounters, reason why this supposes that for them, this new visit happens shortly after the previous one. It is possible that they tried to colonize our galaxy before and for some reason they could not keep the gravitational tensors active. This idea has been the basis for elaborating what is now known as the "theory of tensor decoupling".
