ZeroG Commander Wiki
ZeroG Commander is a hard-core 4X (Empire Building) game with a science fiction theme. It is played through a web interface (browser) connecting to a game that takes place in a vast persistent universe that works continuously.
Each player controls a faction that has left Earth in search of a new future. The factions compete with each other in a ranking of scores based on their current strength (military, economic and technological) and the prestige gained by the control of stellar systems.
It is a very competitive game. A player can be crushed mercilessly by other players, although there are many defense mechanisms to survive. However, the strategy of the game is not based on destroying other players. You can play in a totally peaceful and collaborative way, but the mechanics of the game offer that possibility. The strategy is long term. Normally it is not necessary to connect more than once or twice a day, to schedule the orders, to make some adjustments and to disconnect. Although the player who wants to be more active has many micromanagement options.
