Fortifications are defensive structures that reinforce the structure of a base and protect it from bombing and assault. It is advisable to install at least one fortification on a base. For important bases, it is recommended to install more than one. The defensive bonus multiplies the strength of all the garrison troops. In addition, the fortifications are extremely sturdy and allow a base to keep fire from an enemy bombardment for longer, so that the batteries can cause more damage to the enemy fleet.
